Certificate in Management

Is this programme for you?

Our Certificate in Management programme is for those people who are likely to become first line managers (team leaders or supervisors) or who are already in post but have had little or no formal training. They may work in factories and offices, in hospitals, in call centres, on building sites, in leisure centres, in the armed services and in the voluntary sector.

This qualification is designed to improve performance in the organisation through strong focus on specific job role. This highly practical programme can generate significant payback for any organisation in terms of cost savings and quality improvements in the workplace. Internal short training sessions in the organisation can be incorporated into the programme structure.

The whole programme will take a minimum of 160 hours development time, plus time for assessment, to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to perform effectively in the high pressure world of the twenty-first century.

Can I do distance learning?

To reduce your time away from the workplace, you can take advantage of combining taught workshops with our flexible learning resources. The use of alternative delivery methods (such as open or online learning) allows you to fit study time around your work and personal life. As experts in the field of management and leadership, we have developed a comprehensive range of resources designed for each level of qualification.

How long will it take?

Our Certificate in First Line Management will typically take between 9 and 15 months, though this can be extended up to a maximum of 3 years where necessary. Timescales are flexible according to your personal and professional needs, and the use of alternative delivery methods can be effective in enabling you to fit study around your personal and work life.

Where do the qualifications lead?

The main purpose of this award is to improve your performance which for some participants is an end in itself. However, this award can be a stepping stone to future personal development and qualifications.

What to do next?

If you are interested in joining this award or finding out more information you will need to get in touch with us.
